Cuz I don't recall too many people who ever questioned whether this so-called tape was legit or not.
In anycase, a lesson well learned for any aspiring publicity gurus out there....IF YOU DO IT RIGHT...THEY WILL BELIEVE.
And in the end I was right. The "older pro wrestling legend" hooking up with the younger "porn chick" was enough to make most people gag. But it was a perfect mix. And it was a marriage that almost guaranteed publicity for all parties involved.
And the public believed it. They bought it hook,line, and sinker on dry land. Simply because it ended up all over the internet.
It was a story that was reported here and there and here and there etc." And that alone, made it true in the eyes of most. That's almost scary when you think about it.
No actual video ever surfaced other then the edited teaser clip...but that didn't matter. It had to be true. lol.
Unfortunately, in today's tabloid society...that's the only way you can get your clients seperated from the rest of the pack. You take chances and say fuck it.
And what ever happened to the lost art of good publicity stunts? Old school PT Barnum shit that still works in today's modern age-- if you do it right.
It worked for us. Very well. Larry Zbyszko is now booked for the next year and beyond doing autograph gimmicks and indy shows. What a great country we live in.
