Have you ever heard of the Germ Theory in medicine? This dates to about 150 years ago and says that some diseases have causative agents and are not caused by failure to make offerings to the gods or whatever. You sound like Asscroft saying "If you just didn't have sex then you wouldn't risk having children growing up like me, or getting AIDS, or something equally bad!"
It has been pretty well known since the early 1980's that AIDS is one of these diseases and the actual causative agent (HIV) was isolated by 1985.
What this means is that no matter how vile or disgusting someone may be you can't get AIDS from them if they don't carry the causative agent (HIV).
Conversely no matter how healthy and fit someone may appear to be, if they carry HIV they're a risk (just ask some of the women in this story Oklahoman May Have Infected Nearly 170 Women With HIV.

Gay porn doesn’t test. I don’t know about tranny porn. I had assumed they didn’t test either for the same reasons. I would not be surprised by a lot of unreported positives in untested porn. I would be very surprised by a lot (dozens) of positives in tested porn, even in the middle of this outbreak.
The risk I usually think of, incidentally, is not from a performer in the industry getting exposed but rather a newcummer of uncertain history. I’ve heard rumor that AIM finds HIV+ newbies from time to time.
pasteur was credited with taking van Leeuwenhoek's work and going one step further with microorganisms. he found that they were present in the air but that they could'nt be created in the air. thus disproving spontaneous generation but van L. was the first to figure out microorganisms. so i guess you could say that pasteur solidified the germ theory....semantics

instead of reading the encyclopedia brittanica read this...Black, J.G. (1996). Microbiology. Principles and Applications. Third Edition.
if you want to know what the capital of budapest is read the encyclopedia. if you want to know about medical science read science books that pertain to the subject

A good encyclopedia makes a great starting point. In this case you can use it the to look up texts at various schools (although unfortunately that book doesn't appear to be online). None seem to suggest he played any role in discovering that some diseases, as opposed to microorganisms, fail to arise spontaneously.
In any case, to the original point: you cannot contract AIDS from thin air or a toilet seat: you must have contact with someone who already carries the HIV virus. That is the point I am trying to make with respect to your original flame at Kami: whatever she does isn’t going to cause AIDS unless she does it with someone who has HIV.
(I’m not arguing over other health risks, just the one you stated)
