the ability to create polls and view their results is FAR better here than adt and it's one of the most popular parts of that site.
it would rule if there was one consolidated forum for people to create horrible and offensive polls about who deserves aids or to have 14 live sewer-rats surgically placed in their abdomen bent on eating their way to freedom.

i think it'd be hilarious to have lots of polls like "if your state offered hunting permits for trannies would you be interested in applying for one?", it's not like anyone reads the dvd reviews/fan requests anyhow.

in a brief moment of seriousness, i think it could really be beneficial to the place in terms of luring new traffic here given answering a poll
1-is a "gateway drug" for xpt-nobody's going to flame you, you don't need to know tons of background stuff and you get to feel like you're contributing to the board in some degree
2-if you "stickied" a monthly poll or three from jeff/tony/JM/max/chatsworth about who/what they were thinking about putting in their next movie, it's really the ultimate in "fan requests" which is kinda dead these days.
you could have a "which of these whores should we hire for the next bukake/donkey punch" poll at the top of the forum which is good for business/fan-involvement/etc and then a bunch of user-created ones like "would you like to make a suprise bukake movie where the chick is blindfolded and there's a 3% chance of someone squirting 4oz of "krazy glue" into her mouth for no reason?".
whatever, there are days when i'm clueless about what's going on in porn and don't feel like reading up on it and don't feel like contributing much to current threads based on having no interest/knowledge of their content but i'd definetly answer a few funny polls. if i'm not alone in that, that ends up translating into free clicks and ultimately a better board with better user-retention.
think about how much action adt gets out of their poll section with MASSIVELY inferior software for making and answering them, not to mention lame restrictions on what you can say.

James and Bornyo are a lock for this forum if it ever happens. It's been my experience that polls only lead to one thing...CONFLICT. I cant imagine a better set of mods or a better forum for said material.

I think it's a good idea. Some polls will neatly fit the xpt softwares poll format and some can run wild with freestyle responses. I think james has shown in this thread, with his first post, that sometimes the poll itself is the joke- sometimes the joke is in the responses. In any event its a good idea.

I'm all for having a polls section in Fan Forums, especially as a 'who you'd like to see swallow 821 loads' sense. I'd start a poll if I wasn't travelling and dealing w/ faulty hotel internet.
