To each his own. Everyone operates differently.  Some are better off being reckless without worry. And some work better and harder when they worry. It's like getting slapped in the ass to become determined more or maintain determination to keep going and trying harder and to not give up. I'm sure I can scrounge around some quotes too. While sometimes living with an open mind taking in some brilliant quotes into consideration and perhaps living by them can be a good thing. I like to not always have to go by what other people have philosophize and turned into quotes and just go with what what I've come up with myself and has worked best for me.  how practical of me. Sometimes learning from the past shows us the way to the future.
I used to follow this until i let fear and worry get the best of me. Then I developed Panic Disorder. Then I became an addict to try to numb that voice.
When i was in counseling i learned that what is best for me is to go back to where i once was, what helped me overcome it all when i was younger. I returned to my daily taiji training, returned to studying Taoism, and returned to not worrying about the negatives the future may bring, but the positives that it will.

maybe i mis-served my meaning by saying recklessness. Brashness, fearlessness, adventurous would have served the purpose of my phrase better.

A personal hero of mine is Walt Disney. He was a man who almost never looked at failure as an option. He would be told something would never work, look the person straight in the eye and say... "Then we make it work!" '
However as far as calculated risk goes. Some judge optimistically rather than pessimistically. I look at the positives and say... fuck the negatives, we take them on if they come... it's no use to worry about something if it never happens.
Mind you that doesn't mean that you do not do your best to keep yourself healthy and safe. On the contrary when it comes to matters of health and safe you act proactively in order to prevent worry from ever being needed.
If i eat healthy, exercise regularly and live happily and stress free... should i worry myself with weather or not i will get heart disease?

As for the supposed window period, no problem. Each succeeding test covers the window period. Moreover, the window period situation applies to anyone of any sexual orientation and sexual practise.

Remember, Walt is the man who brought us Song of the South, which while now considered "racist" by an oversensitive few, also was one of the first movies to feature a black man in a lead role... not to mention the an academy award nomination (which walt through a fit when the academy would not let him attend just because of race.)
Walt was a Utopianist, not so much a fascist. He looked towards a world where people worked towards the betterment of mankind, not the greed of themselves. Look into the original purpose of "the florida project" and EPCOT. It was NEVER intended to be a theme park, I have a long blog post about Walt as a futurist and the dream of EPCOT on my myspace. Seriously though, look into it, it really is a shame EPCOT (not the theme park that bore the name) was never built, as it could have been an example to the world.

How very true, there was SOOOOOOO much gay going on in the Nazi party... I get a kick out of seeing the neo-nazis marching against gays. I got two words for them... Ernst Rhom. Mind you Hitler did a good cover job having the SS slaughter them when Rhom got too indiscreet, it made it seem like they cared about it, when in honesty... as long as you could fake it long enough to breed they didnt care if you got a pickle poking. I once read an interesting story from a Jewish man who as a young boy in poland and was "saved" by Himmler and made into his "confidant".
As far as Walt. You are right, no one knows exactly what he was thinking at all times. But I have read many books that included things written by him, and interviews with his closest confidants. Even Ub Iwerks, who had the biggest beef with Walt, when asked would say that Walt was many things, but racist was not one of them. Did he occasionally lash out and say some insensitive things? yes, but who doesn't at times. He also made it a point to have representative from all religions he could get and children of all races at the opening of Disneyland, and refused to have any segregation in the park (Disneyland never had separate water fountains or restrooms the closest thing to segregation was admittedly there were very few blacks placed in "on stage" roles in the park till about 64 <i'm swinging a guess on the date cause im sick and don't feel like getting up and grabbing books off the shelf atm.>)
