So how does masturbation factor in? There's no way it lowers your sperm count or leads to impotence. Sperm is only 1% of the ejeaculatory fluid and the male hormonal cycle continuously developes sperm. If anything, masturbation improves sexual health; thus, the same can be said for recreational sex.

actually there is some debate about the role ejaculation plays in testosterone production. most research suggests that over time ejaculation through sex leads to increased test, though anecdotal evidence from athletes such as boxers who won't ejaculate before a fight runs counter to this. similar beliefs are shared by proponents of tantric buddhists, who believe the large amount of chi released during ejaculation makes it a practice detrimental to long term health- which is why they advocate "injaculation". there is also some research that suggests that masturbation can lead to lower t levels- though normally not a significant amount.
