No. I'd rather have good hardcore content that HD that all fluff. I remember at Lurid they made a big deal because they got one of the first Sony HD cam that comeout almost 2 yrs. ago. Friggin cam cost 5K. Anyway, The colors and definition was awesome but the overall product sucked cause it was boring shit.

HD is nice if you know how to light for it.

having seen a bit, I'd say performers need to be ready. It's offputting when the fine detail reproduction reveals that the girl really needs her ass waxed.

i dont know about HD, but it's ABOUT time to dismiss 4/3 format and shoot/publish everthing in 16/9.

The resolution of a single frame of high definition video is just a little more than 1 megapixel. That's ONE and only on the full 1080i. 720p is even smaller. No one seems to bitch about clarity issues with 10 and 20 megapixel still cameras.

Even then, HD is nowhere near as clear (yet) as film but no one is dissing Blake Edwards for his visual images.

Now to answer the question. Yes, porn in HD is necessary and here's why......

Standard Definition sets are being phased out (i.e. less and less are being made each year). Eventually there will be no more SD TVs. Then how will you get your porn fix?

Doesn't matter which player format wins(WMV-HD or BluRay) because it's all going to be download or VOD anyway. The Disc is dead.

Anyone with a computer can watch HD content. You don't even need to upgrade equipment.

So if VHS is still good enough for you, I have to ask, "Why did you ever upgrade from cave paintings?"

HD would weed out the ugly whores ;p
