I shudder to remember when I was at school we went hiking out in the bush and there was this place near a river where there must have been millions of leeches on the ground, in trees, everywhere. It was just awful! Unlike everyone else I didn't get any on my skin that I know of but all the rest of the day I kept finding leeches in my clothing and backpack.
