that guy is a dolt. for awhile I hated dvds because when you rented'em u couldn't copy 'em, but now with dvd-r. I love 'em Iwas watching one last nite after smoking some magic 13 and it looked almost 3-D groovy!

The only real complaint I have with dvd is that you can't pick up a scene where you left off. Very important in porn, IMO.

that's a porn truth/necessity but you might need a better dvd player... I can stop my dvd say right before a cum-bolt hits, turn the thing off, return the next day & splat right where I left it.

I've got a fairly large collection of videos going back to the early 90's,I hardly watch em but I cant bring myself to get rid of them either.

If this is really true,it's only because videos have become a hella lot cheaper these days,as opposed to DVDs at your local adult video,Tower Records, and Virgin Records store.

Video still accounts for about 40% of my sales so VHS is hardly dead.

I don't think video will go away until they devise a way for people to record their shows. Is there a recordable dvd out there yet? I don't really keep track of that sort of thing.

hold onto your tits, pal. Yeah there's dvd-r recorders for computers and modified dvd players by guys on ebay as well as dvd recorders, but the recorders & dvd-r cds are still expensive. I don't the capabilities for programming them to record shows or games, but VCRS are still cool IMO.

I have a agree with Jeff. I think about 40-50% of my sales are VHS.

Why the surprise? That´s true. * PORN * videos are still selling as well as DVDs.

I'm sure these large VHS sales are due in part to the rental market. I rarely see a wide selection of DVD titles for rent, but always tons of VHS.

I still like VHS better and I will continue to rent them until they don't make them anymore.

VHS may not be dead but it is dying, shrinking... however, I think some companies that don't release the VHS & DVD at the same time are later losing out on DVD sales because the "newness" has worn off by the time the DVD comes out. For instance, I woulda bought Mary Carey Rules 2 when it came out had it been available on DVD, once it was out on DVD I wasn't interested anymore.

Who the fuck is crazy enuff to buy a 3-disk DVD of THE FASHIONISTAS for OVER SIXTY BUCKS when they can get the VHS for way less?

60 bucks for a wank movie? Meh. I´d rather buy the Universal Monster Legacy Collection instead. It´s cheaper.

From what I understand a lot of Japanese porn isn't even coming out on vhs at all. They're moving toward a 100% dvd market.
