So I fell asleep watching football this afternoon and had this dream of a new hybrid porn/anti-terrorism video game. You pick a city in which to operate (in mine, Chicago, whatever). Two porn  (in my instance, that was Shy Love and Melanie Jagger) are being held captive in that city by  and he's threatening to kill them and destroy the city if you don't do his bidding. You try and stop his attacks and  his henchmen around the city, if you're successful and get the clues to where he's hiding, you show up and confront him. In anger, he  himself and you then get to  the two whores. Whaddya think?

Good call James, I think maybe a brick to those huge choppers would make a great scene. Willie, there are video game designers everywhere these days. Make it happen, fill it full of JM tomfoolery, feature COHF/Simp with raincoat, several armed Brandon Irons midgets, Chico kicking people in the head, Steward shaking down das Juden with a baseball bat, etc. I'll buy it.

It was a dream, I couldn't control who was in it. My preference would have been Sunny Lane and Gia Jordan, but unfortunately my subconscious was focused on large incisors...probably a reaction to Thanksgiving.
Ideas are good. The more I think about it, the more it reminds me of Apocalypse Now. Or if you're old school, Conrad's Heart of Darkness.

*Short story, first time I ever got stoned was in a dormitory in Wilmington, NC. They were playing the two disc dialogue/music set from A.N. and the combined experience pretty much locked me onto that movie for life. I could go on about it all night, but I'll spare you.
"Heart of Darkness" is still a tough read, Conrad was born and raised in Poland as I recall, yet he wrote his books in English which I believe he learned quite later on in life, which explains some things.

Nobody remembers Dennis Hopper as the photojournalist on a bad acid trip in the middle of Kurtz' Hellish camp. His presence there, and much of what he says is a virtual non sequitur, and Dennis Hopper really went over the top.

Floofin...put no body parts near a mirror. If Martin Sheen is your idol, fast forward to the West Wing episodes. Otherwise... I'll expect a good sequel before I go to visit the USS Arizona this December.

floof-i'd read that about joey. hod was basically a powerful idea with average-execution. i've always felt the movie was one of the reasons movies are worth watching when done well-just the fucking ride of the valk. with the helicopters taken by itself is art. i don't know "film" and don't really have the time to at this point, but i've never seen music that effectively used in anything before that and that's just a fraction of what made that flick good. it's probably the best thing i've seen in the last 30-years that sold copies/tickets/books/cds in volume, whatever medium you're looking at. writing's dead, good music doesn't sell, and for the most part every year's "it" movies suck.

Ditto to all. Apparently the whole production just about drove Coppala to suicide. The Philippines underwent a revolt, Sheen's heart attack, probably fucking malaria too. Nothing like a crucible of pain to bring out the genius I guess. Maybe the finest example of exposing the "human condition" amongst the horror and insanity that is war. What more can I say, other than the film should be required viewing in high school.
