Byron and Black are Back in AVN

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - “Enough is enough. It’s time to move on. We’re putting the past behind us,” said Tim Connelly, AVN Publisher and Editor in Chief. “Rob Black and Tom Byron are back in the magazine and on the website.”
Black, Byron, and Extreme Associates had been banned from doing business with AVN for over two years. The ban extended to Evolution Erotica, Byron’s new company, (founded 2003). No reviews, no interviews, not even passing references.
AVN President Paul Fishbein and Connelly decided to let bygones be bygones in the spirit of industry unity, especially given the recent federal obscenity indictments of Black and his wife Lizzy Borden.
“This is the last little brick,” said Byron. “We’ve been having good results with feedback from Evolution, but everybody knows AVN is the big cheese. I’m just glad the nastiness is behind us. Here’s to good porn and good money.”
Rob Black said, “I feel thankful that we’re getting a second chance. A lot of shit has flowed down the river between us and AVN, and I’m just glad it’s all past us and we can move on and do business together.”
Especially, he added “at a pivotal time in our seven year relationship, when we’re looking for all the friends we can have.”
“Strictly from an ego side,” he went on, “I feel the business has been kind of boring without us and we’re coming back to spice it up and pump some new blood into the system. All competition beware, cuz we are back!”
Borden said she was “just happy. Finally there’s no more drama.”
