Supposedly this did not go over very well. According to the book "American Hardcore" $250,000 worth of studio equipment was smashed and the cops were called to drive the punk kids out of the building. For years this was one of the only SNL episodes that was never aired again. Watch it while you can, because according to the comment section, YouTube keeps taking this one down because SNL HATES their stuff appearing on this page.

Oh yeah, and another tidbit of useless information. The guy who yells "New York Sucks" into the microphone after the second song is none other than Ian McKaye(the vocalist for Minor Threat and Fugazi, not the other guy who spells his name differently and directs porn).

shit i used to love staying up late to catch "New Wave Theatre" as a wee lad! Seeing that opening kinda freaked me...forgot all about that show!
