I have 2 clips4sale stores and am launching a 3rd in February. I've heard that clips.com doesn't really do that great of traffic, but will probably set up mirror stores of my c4s stores there as well as on clipclinic. Clipclinic is fairly new, but I think it will be a good source since it uses xpeeps for traffic. A great idea for utilizing all that social networking traffic.
I basically use the clip formats for my fetish content because of the itunes business model. I think that the industry needs to really rethink its delivery system for content to the consumer. The only problem is that there is so much pirated hardcore content out there, that there is really no reason for fans to purchase hardcore content even in the clip format. The previous poster is right, micro-niche fetishes do the best there. Its merely because it is difficult to find certain specific types of content online, that fetish fans seem to soak up the content they find on the clip stores. I love the traffic I get from there and look forward to launching a member site with all the content I've created for my stores later this spring. I'm certain the stores will drive traffic for those interested in acquiring all the content through membership subscriptions. Its difficult to get anyone to stick to a subscription based model these days... but I believe this may just work.
