I was reading this thread and it made me wonder: what do you have to do to be able to shoot a porno scene legally? In that thread, it seems like some whore basically showed up to a hotel and blew a guy for $400 while he filmed it. Not that I'm opposed to what he did, but how is that any different than just hiring a regular prostitute? Or is it different at all?

I've always wanted to get a couple friends together and hire an amateur/newcomer girl to shoot a scene (preferably something in the Max Hardcore/GagFactor/Meatholes genre ) but I don't think I'm quite dedicated enough to go through all the work of setting up a company. Or at least not at first. If it starts off well, I'd certainly consider it, though. So just what do you have to do to make it a 'legit' shoot? I'm sure it'd need a model release at the very least. But is there other stuff as well?

According to Michael (aka PornLaw), there aren't many places outside of CA where you can legally shoot porn. As you noted, it is considered prostitution.

To publish the clip you'd need well-crafted model releases from all participants and you'd need to properly document their ages to satisfy the "2257" regulations. You'd also need to set up a custodian of records for said regulations. Current AIM-like certified STD testing for all partipants would be a great idea.

And, you need to realize that you may be subject to local/state/federal prosecutions for violating nebulous "community standards" that may cost you everything you have or will ever have - not to mention jail time.

Or you could just do what I've been doing for years: run ads in your local free paper for girls to do modeling, get them over to your place and then see how many will get naked, masturbate and suck dick on video. You'd be amazed how many "normal" girls will do this for $200 or so. Something about pointing a camera at a girl brings out the "bad" in them. I've got a large video collection of girls I've done this with but I never asked for nor got releases. Since I never planned to release the videos, I didn't care about releases. But it is a fun hobby that anyone can do. Legal? I don't know but no one has complained yet.
