"I Swear This One is Cursed"
--
Stormy, Midday of Day 1
The first day of filming of Wicked Pictures new movie
"3 Wishes" is not without it tribulations. This is the fourth Adult Entertainment Feature directed by one of the industry's superstars,
Stormy Daniels.
Daniels has previously directed
One Night In Vegas, the acclaimed
Second Thoughts and the forthcoming
Private Eyes. For the fourth movie Stormy wanted to up the ante. With each of her films she has pushed her limits,
tempering her hardKore side with her feature knowledge.
With this movie she takes her usual Hitchcockian cameo further by starring in the movie and performing two of it's sex scenes.
The story is a fantastic tale of a man
(Eric Masterson) who is granted 3 whishes by the Devil
(Devon Michaels) in exchange for his soul.
Also in the movie are
Eva Angelina, Jasmine Byrne, Lexi Lamour, Billy Glide & Tommy Gunn.
The morning begins with a rough start. A very expensive antique table has no way to be taken down to the basement where the Devil's lair set is.
Production Manager
Mark Nicholson works out several scenarios on how to get the table down, but to no avail.
Nicholson has worked on several
Wicked productions and has utilized his creative craftiness to pull a rabbit out of his hat. Using pulleys to lower the table down a shaft. The idea is a success and the table makes it to the set unhurt but valuable time is lost.
The Girl/Girl scene between
Stormy & Devon is not shot until early afternoon and the shoot is behind schedule.
This movie was allotted a 3-day shoot. There is no money in the budget for a fourth day.
Come hell or highwater the shoot wraps at the end of day three.
The
Devon/Stormy scene is shot with surgical precision. The girls have been friends for years. Devon (along with
Lexi Lamour) helped usher in the then known
Stormy Waters into erotica. The scene concludes with
Stormy inserting candles into
Devon and lighting the tips. Pushing the envelope is becoming her trademark.
Stormy directs roughly one movie a season, with that in mind, she recruits the best possible talent and crew to help make sure that each of her movies makes an impact.
To help with this, everyone contributes, freely submitting ideas with the intention of making the best possible film they can. AVN award winner
Tommy Gunn suggests using his hand to light the cigarette of Devil
Devon Michaels, through use of special effects.
Safety is a priority. The on-set Pyro experts examine the situation and a practice run is preformed before
Stormy.
Tommy's finger is set ablaze, held for several seconds, then extinguished...all without causing harm.
Stormy makes the decision that it would look great and adds to the ambiance.
The scene of dialogue between
Devon & Eric Masterson is filmed in record time. The banter between the two accomplished actors needs little rehearsal as both hit their marks and deliver their lines as professionally as any performed on a mainstream set.
With a lunch break, another dilemma is realized: One of the males booked for the next day's shoot has become unavailable.
Mark Nicholson's temp office becomes the center of a brain-storm(y) session. Ideas of who would be a fitting replacement come fast. Names of current male performers are shouted out with hopes of one clicking with the directors vision. But on such short notice, less than 24 hours, the puzzle piece is elusive.
Stormy begins making calls to agents and other directors for ideas. Actor
Masterson also begins making calls to qualified performers he has witnessed on previous sets. From his office, publicist
Mike Moz makes calls, already in the midst of a search to replace an actress who was unable to make the shoot on day 2 as well.
Moz is successful. Landing the beautiful
Jada Fire to portray a Pornstar alongside
Lexi Lamour.
It then clicks in
Stormy's head to call on
Nick Jacobs. who appeared in a blowbang scene in
Second Thoughts. A call is made and booking him is a success.
The familial atmosphere on the set in the face adversary extends to include myself when asked by director
Daniels if I had brought my laptop. I apprehensively nod "yes".
Brought on set merely to observe, now I too, am caught in the momentum and quickly use my skills in graphic design to create a book cover that is used in the movie roughly ten minutes later. The ink on the paper is barely dry before it is filmed before the camera.
The scene it's used in is the preface to the
Devon Michaels/Tommy Gunn/Billy Glide 3 way.
Devon who has been in and out of costumes all day freely roams the set nude and probably with all right, being that she is the most amazing shape I have seen her. Her body sleek, and as close to perfection as possible.
With a superstar, like
Stormy Daniels directing, attention is garnered from fans of adult entertainment, which also includes mainstream celebrities. Rapper and
Fast & Furious 3 star
Bow Wow visits the set (apparently he dropped the "lil" from his name upon turning 18.)
He quietly watches the monitor from which
Stormy is sitting behind. So impressed with Wicked's Superstar
Stormy, he returns to the set the following night.
The three way scene comes across with intensity. You could almost feel the heat radiating from
Devon from where I was standing , fifteen feet away.
Upon completion of the scene, the day, which started off by losing precious time and encountering several roadblocks, ends. As a testament to abilities of the crew, performers, and talent of emerging director
Stormy Daniels, it's wrapped. On Schedule.
