Anyone else find it unnerving to hear Paul Harvey talking about adult film actors coming down with HIV? He was talking this morning about the "fourth actor to come down with AIDS."

Paul Harvey is scary in every sense of the word. I'd like to hear that clip though, just for the cringe factor.

I thought there was already four actors who recently tested positive?

There are four, but they are HIV+. He said they have AIDS. Is it possible he doesn't know the difference?

Maybe he does know the difference, but he wants to use AIDS because that sounds more frightening than HIV.

Who is Paul Harvey?

Paul Harvey does an A.M. radio show that is broadcast usually twice a day, at noon and I think around 4PM. His show is about a half hour long and is kind of like "For what its worth" style news and trivia tidbits. He also does little snippits on current world events. He has to be about 65 or 70 because I remember listening to him while riding shotgun with my dad on summer vacation when he drove a semi. That was in about 1980. Paul Harvey is still going strong though and I would recommend listening to his program although it is kind of "Bumpkinish". His signature sign off line is "Thank you for listening. This is Paul Harvey.......(long pause)......Good day!"

I guess I shouldn't have assumed everybody would know who he is. He's very popular with old people like me, I guess; though I didn't realize I was that old. BTW, he was born in 1918.

Oddly, Paul Harvey has THEE largest single radio audience anywhere in america. The demos all tend to run 55+, but he is the most listened to network show on the radio.

Thanks for the answers guys. I had an idea he was a radio personality from the other posts but I wasn't sure so I asked, now I know. I understand how I don't know him because I mainly listen to music and sports talk on the radio.
