This place has never been friendly to noobs [except for females who they turn on later]. And, 90% or more of noobs are alts anyway ...

XPT at its best is a boiling shark tank of whore tears full of bad poster chum. The new registrant jumps right into the feeding frenzy, and, based on where they are on the food chain and what predator(s) they attract, they live or die. And, the living wear their scars with pride.



In my case, I never read much of the past stuff before it was pointed out to me on a relevant case-by-case basis.



I think things like "Quote of the Day" and the "Reliquary" gives people a good taste [at least in the posts where the pic links are dead, etc.] And, those are kept active enough that the noob should encounter them quickly enough.

Electrostatic had a nice obsessive/compulsive streak that matched up pretty good with this place. Granted the obsession was over serial killers but still not everyone that logs on here is blessed with those genes.

Everybody was pretty nice to me when I finally jumped in, but I relate that to both the fact that I lurked for an apropriate amount of time, and that fact that I'm fucking awesome.
