Here is a copy of a letter I've sent to Mr. Luke Ford.
Apparently, Chasey Lain is supposed to appear on the KSEX radio show on Monday night.
Since many of you suggested Mr. Ford and I are the same person, it might be a good idea to put this rumor to rest.
I'd also like to show my support for Ms. Lain.
If I get a chance to call in, I'm sure KSEX's call board will blow up due to the response. I apologize in advance.
THE LETTER:
Mr. Luke Ford:
As I'm sure you've noticed, there seem to be a number of people who think the two of us are the same person.
I have a solution for this that would prove both educational and entertaining.
Chasey Lain is supposed to appear on the KSEX radio show Monday night.
Using your magical powers, it would be wonderful to appear with you on the show.
I'd love to show my support for this young woman, who has been treated so unfairly by the industry that made her.
I can assure you, my comments will anger most, if not all, of the general listening porn public, and should garner a very good rating for the time slot of the show.
If we appear at the same time, we could also put the speculation to rest that we are the same person.
Please tell Mr. Wankus, if you speak to him, that I will call in when he asks me too.
Problem is, I've never listened to his show, so I don't have the number and don't know when he's on.
Is KSEX on the internet, or AM radio?
I'm going to post this email in a new thread on xxx.porntalk.com so Gen Padova can get all fired up for Monday night.
She loves me, ya know.
But more importantly, I'd love to show my support for Chasey Lain, and, in a calculated way, castrate all the amoral creeps in the business who enable her behavior, and then try to write her off.

You're the one who's done a gazillion films in an industry that has 66% of it's performers infected with Herpes.
At least, that's the figure according to Sharon Mitchell.
As for not testing positive unless there's an outbreak...
There's a brand new test getting ready to make it's debut that can show whether or not a person has Herpes, even if they don't have an outbreak.
Of course, that test won't amount to a hill of beans since none of you want to implement it. Job protection will beat out safety, most likely, at least until the State moves in to enforce it.
Are you under the impression that Herpes is only transmittable when an outbreak occurs? If you are, you're simply dead wrong, by the way. You may need to go check the latest Herpes research to update your antiquated theology.

"Talent will now be required to test monthly not only for HIV, but for also chlamydia and gonorrhea, with the majority of the industry already on board for the proposal. When talent goes in for their HIV testing, they will also be asked to give a urine sample for chlamydia and gonorrhea testing. Test results will available for all three tests within a day or two. Yes Owen, that was a pretty stupid post on my part.
I've learned a lot since then.
First, we definitely don't want to get 'revenge' any more.
That was just me being a moron.
Second, the girl we know is now out of the industry, dating, and getting back to having a somewhat normal life.
Luckily, she came out of it without any problems.
Of course, I can't verify that, and I have to go by what she tells us.
About the 300 girls...
...that isn't a lie.
That post was written in about July of 2003, and yeah, you folks here have certainly taught us a lot.
Back then, I had this really silly idea that porn was a safe place to have sex on camera with other attractive people, with little or no long-term side effects.
Man was I wrong.
Thank God I took the time to do some research before I jumped in with my wife, who probably would have cut my nuts off if we'd done a movie, like Marey Carey, and got Herpes our first time out. At least that's the rumor about Ms. Carey, so I don't know if it's true.
Thus, I apologize for that extremely naive post.
Chalk it up to stupidity, which is part of the learning experience.
As for Gen's lovely comments...
You have a point.
Maybe we got lucky before.
However, the girls we have relationships with are girls we've usually known for a while. By a while, I mean months.
Through the course of months, while we're 'courting' I guess, we get to know a girl before we get together with her. In that time, girls let things slip.
And we listen.
Before we ever go get tested, we already know who she's seen, slept with recently, and whether or not she has any 'odd' symptoms. Most of the time, if a girl has something, she usually tells us before we ever go get tested. Then, we just remain friends with her.
We aren't people who just 'jump in'. You'll never see us at the Entertainium, either. We went there once, just to look around. We prefer to be safe and wait until we know someone.
When I wrote that letter, the girl we know had told us that 'in the industry' she 'gets tested' and therefore 'can't get a disease.'
That's how it was presented to her, by some of you wonderful people, at least.
So, I guess I bought into it, too.
Why would anyone mislead her, I thought?
I didn't realize until August, when the big outbreaks of Gonnorea and Syphillis and Chlamydia were going around, that she had been mislead.
When I found out how the testing REALLY works, I did the best I could to get a hold of that girl, so I could tell her.
I got a hold of her, and I told her.
She was horrified.
She'd already done a ton of movies and had a bunch of boxcovers. She is now celibate, waiting to meet the 'right guy', and when she does, wants to take him to get a Full Panel Test if things go farther.
I'm glad I made a difference in her life.
She's a great person, I'm still totally crazy about her, and she deserves all the best things life has to offer.
Anyway Gen, I have always used a condom with the girls we've been with. Knowing what I now know, however, I guess we got lucky. I never knew, until last August, that Herpes could be transmitted without detectable sores. That blew me away.
To find out that 66% of people in the porn industry have Herpes...shit man, that just scared the fuck out of us.

And all you get is a few measly thousand dollars?

As to the suggestion that I kill myself, or that I already have Herpes...neither one are true, or will ever be.
I'm fully alive, and happy I avoided screwing up myself and my wife by jumping in to something that could have made us vampires.

...I really, really appreciate waking up in the morning WITHOUT any sores or itching. I'm glad I didn't fuck us up. If we couldn't have had a child, our own child, I would have been really fucked us up, too.

That being said, it's hard for me to reconcile my love for porn with my fear for the safety of it's performers.
Oddly enough, I'm getting the crap kicked out of me on this board...

On the other hand, I think the performers are mad at me because I'm pointing out flaws they didn't think about when they got started. In hindsight, many of them probably wished they'd been a complete moron, like I've been, and stumbled around a bit more.
I'm glad I took the time to say stupid things, and get 'schooled'.
I'm not embarrassed at all.
The other reason I think many performers take me on is because they know directors and owners and investors and fans come here. Even though they know I'm on their side, it benefits them- in the short run- to tell me to go 'kill myself'.
I'm not a big fan of unions, as unions tend to get greedy and fat and lose sight of the real reason they exist.
But in this world, the world of porn, these people sure could use a union.
Every time she beats the crap out of me, Gen Padova gets props from the people she works for. You don't have to be a genius to figure that out.
On the other hand, privately, I'm sure that all the Gen Padova's and John Johnson's secretly hope that my rants will have an impact, so their jobs can be safer.
Of course, they aren't going to tell me that on this board, in front of their bosses.
But their bosses have something to fear, too.
It's called the 'American Class-Action Lawsuit'.
As far as I know, there is no precedent, or statute, set for safety measures in porn in the legal arena.
I don't think anyone's tried it yet.
The reason that the bosses should regulate themselves on these issues, the issues of drugs and STD's, is that they could find themselves in legal hot water years down the line if they don't.
I would hate to see that happen.
If I was running a porn company, I'd be the FIRST to implement Full Panel Tests. I'd also advertise it, right there on my lovely boxcover.
'NO PORN ANIMALS WERE HURT OR DESTROYED DURING THE MAKING OF THIS VIDEO'...it might read.
Somewhere on the back cover, I'd put a little disclaimer on it, talking about how NONE of the performers in my video walked away with any diseases or drug addictions due to the shooting of the feature.
Then, I'd advertise myself as being a 'responsible' maker of porn.
Car companies, who once HATED the idea of AIRBAGS now use the inclusion of AIRBAGS as a SELLING POINT.
And guess what?
The public LOVES IT, and is now more prone to buy cars that are SAFE, than cars that are NOT SAFE.
Thus, given my logic, for a slight up-front investment, any given porn maker would eventually reap PROFITS from selling a SAFELY MADE PRODUCT.
The public, yes, even the porn public, pays attention to stuff like this.
If I had the option of buying a video that had my disclaimer on it, so I could watch my porn GUILT FREE...
...I would buy it in a heartbeat.
If, and when, porn makers adopt these ideas, porn will also enjoy a REVOLUTION, which would also be profitable.
Could you imagine how much America, and the world, would love a porn industry that takes care of it's performers?
If they'd stop yelling at me, and listen to what I'm saying, they'd see I'm not some jerk trying to bring people down.
I'm actually on their side.
I don't want to see porn makers get sued, and I don't want to see the lovely 18 year olds get hurt.

The public LOVES IT, and is now more prone to buy cars that are SAFE, than cars that are NOT SAFE.
Thus, given my logic, for a slight up-front investment, any given porn maker would eventually reap PROFITS from selling a SAFELY MADE PRODUCT.
The public, yes, even the porn public, pays attention to stuff like this.
If I had the option of buying a video that had my disclaimer on it, so I could watch my porn GUILT FREE...
...I would buy it in a heartbeat.
If, and when, porn makers adopt these ideas, porn will also enjoy a REVOLUTION, which would also be profitable.
Could you imagine how much America, and the world, would love a porn industry that takes care of it's performers?
If they'd stop yelling at me, and listen to what I'm saying, they'd see I'm not some jerk trying to bring people down.
I'm actually on their side.
I don't want to see porn makers get sued, and I don't want to see the lovely 18 year olds get hurt.
Is that so wrong?
