CHATSWORTH, Calif. - After learning that a female performer in one of his videos was using a fake ID, Simon Wolf Productions owner John Chambliss decided that the adult industry needed a better system of identification – so he decided to build one.

As of today, the ID used by all performers, both male and female, booked for Simon Wolf Productions, will be authenticated by a private investigator. Once authenticated, the performer's ID will be entered into a database that will be available to any studio, producer, director or person casting an adult project.

The decision to authenticate proof of identity was driven by the discovery that Savannah Moore, who performed in two Simon Wolf videos, was using a fake California ID.

"We don't know that she was underage. What we do know is that the foundation of legality of for the entire industry can be easily falsified," Chambliss told AVN.com.

Yesterday, Chambliss discovered that not only Moore provided him with a fake ID, she also provide a fake bank card, a fake phone number, a fake address, and there isn't a single person in the United States with the "real name" she provided.

Chambliss intends to use the same private investigator he used the check out Moore's background to authenticate the validity of every performer's identity. The private investigator is already busy verifying the identity of all performers titles already completed that are about the ship.

"It is imperative that a fail-safe system of checking IDs such as this be implemented to safeguard the industry and everyone associated with it - either directly or indirectly; customers and viewers alike," Chambliss said.

False identities can be purchased for a relatively cheap price. The private investigator Chambliss has hired says that a fake California state ID, with a hologram, can be purchased for approximately $75.

There are bar scanners available to verify that an ID has a certain type of code, but the makers of one such device admitted to AVN.com that the code could be faked as well.

If they make this database a mandatory thing, Wolf can charge some money for it and make a fortune.

Or just another company can use their own private eye.

Why don´t they create a database of fake AIM HIV-pos tests?

God, that article/press release is the biggest load of horseshit I have ever read.

Of what practical value would something like that be? What are you gonna do a full background check on every whore before you hire them? It is fucking stupidly absurd.

It may be horse-shit but the fucker will probably make bank on idiots willing to pay him for a whore's 'verified' info. Unfortunately for him... I have a better idea. Just make talent (and I use the term loosely) bring in a copy of their latest credit report. It puts the burden of identification on the reporting agencies and will make for a few good laughs while reading on the shitter!

i know... next thing you know they will say they wont hire anyone who turns up with a criminal background.

all their performers must have a private investigator run a check on them... but their editors/directors can be murderers, go figure.
