Kami Andrews to Direct for Elegant Angel

Adult performer Kami Andrews has joined the Elegant Angel team of directors. Her first video for the company, Who Let the Whores Out, is scheduled for release in September.

In Andrews’ short but eventful career she has acquired a large online fan following, performed in many movies (including a stint for Extreme Associates 2.0 under the name “Salome”) and made a memorable appearance on the Howard Stern radio show.

"A lot of companies take a porn starlet and slap her name on it as director to move product," Andrews said. "Elegant Angel is not one of those companies They have met with me to try to understand my vision and even requested a sample scene to make sure I wasn't just talking the talk.

“Our movie is called Who Let the Whores Out for two reasons. The first is that it's a funny title, the second is that it's about women discovering their inner whore. There is nothing more liberating than letting yourself become a sex-crazed fuck beast.

“If I can help just one girl find her inner whore I have done the world a great service! The movie is not a rough sex line, which is what most people are probably expecting. My goal is to show people feeling something real."

Elegant Angel owner Patrick Collins said he wanted “to assure fans that these movies will be Kami’s vision, and her responsibility from beginning to end. She is an enormously capable human being, and the company couldn’t have greater confidence that she is ready to rise to the technical, and creative pressures of directing her own productions.

I’m sure Kami will grow to be a part of this, and we intend to give her every creative freedom to be herself.”

At Elegant Angel, Kami joins the directorial ranks of Collins and William H., the creator of Swallow My Squirt and Cum Drenched Tits. I may have to make a change to the line up if I don't get a confirm call back today though and that may push it. The thing is I have been renting specific lights and I hate to have to rent them again for one scene. *but* I have been pleasently suprised at teh calls I have been getting for work. What directors, if any, are you trying to model yourself after or which have influenced your directing style.

Also, do you create the storyline (if there is one) or does someone else do that. How much creative control do you have? Do you just tell the performers what positions and dictate what camera angles and how you want them to act?

I have no idea of how directing works in porn which is why I ask.
