I think its great when industry message boards are used like this to weed out the scumbags.
Just a reminder, if the check bounces then the model release is no good. You should notify anyone distrubuting the videos these guys made that they dont have valid model release forms. No distributor in their right mind is going to sell anything that has invalid model release forms.
ROBERTF, you're obviously an industry insider, what do youthink about notifying distributors of content that does not have valid model releases?

jrv, you might be right. I wonder if anybody here could post a link to an actual model release. I'm sure each company may have slightly different wording on their forms.My limited buissness experience has always taught me that any contract is contigent on payment.
Any time you have two seperate contracts for the same "JOB" and only one contract contains the "PAYMENT AGREEMENT" that P.A.(payment agreement) is automatically interpeted to cover both contracts.
I'll bet alot of these scumbags producers will try to tell the naive newbie that the model release is seperate and has nothing to do with the payment agreement they signed seperately. California law says otherwise. Multiple contracts for the same job are always considered as "WHOLE AGREEMENTS" when considering "RENUMERATION"(that is payment).
As far as fake tests go, that is a felony in every state. It is actally more than one felony. To falsify a medical document for the purpose of employment is a felony. To produce for any individual a medical document that is known to be fabricated, with the intent of misleading that individual is a felony. The mere production of a false medical document is also a felony.

Isnt that one of the reasons why porn girls go to "agents' in the first place so they dont get abused/cheated/etc, etc by fly by night operators. Just an idea.....when you have been in the biz for awhile and someone new pops up there not always skumbags....but do your research. Quote:

Hi,
My name is Legacy and I just got scammed from these guys. I went out there Sat Nov 10, we did 2 scenes and they paid me with a certified check from chase. I had the worst trip ever, I thought they paid the hotel for the whole weekend and they only paid for that night, I had to get out of the hotel the next day, because the hotel was 150 and I did not have all the $$. So I was stuck in NY airport all day and all night Sunday because they booked my returning flight on Monday. All of this happened on Saturday. I am filing an FBI complaint and I have a lawyer, but I wanted to find some other girls that have been scammed too. So if you want to get these guys, get back to me please. My name is Legacy.

Well, we are going to do our best to try and right the ship out here, there is no real reason why NYC can't put out some good, hot, fun filth, there are so many creative and interesting people out here. We do plan on shooting in LA a bit once the new year comes around as well as FL and NYC, but I am born and bred NY and want a bit of that identity to come through in what we do. It is sad, but the truth is, yes, there are some people out here who think they are too sharp for their own good, but in the short time I have been in the business i have seen that from wanna-be agents from florida and LA as well, just the nature of the business, and we won't do business with these types.

Did anyone notice that our so called friend Robert put up affiliate code for this link? So that he get's paid commission if anyone signs up? Hmmmmmm I've known about these guys since 2002. I booked with them also, but required they pay for the hotel upfront for our talent and then pay in cash. They paid for the room, but still tried the fake check thing. Fortunatly, I know they were going to do this and I booked a shoot with another client in the hotel they paid for. As an agent, I have a policy that if a non-known company (someone other than Anabolic/Diabolic, Redlight, New Sensation, etc) can not provide at least 2 model references I only accept cash for the first assignment, after that checks are fine until there is a problem. As a company I certify that the models get paid. If the client screws over a girl, I pay her personaly out of my pocket. Needless to say, that hasn't happend to me yet. Also, here is the info under thier 2257 documentation for www.sexalotnyc.com. I do not know if it's real. But, it's a start. I have been bi-coastal for almost five years being based in NYC and coming to LA 3-6 times per year depending on how much work there is here in NYC. I have found there are a lot of scum bags in the business so I only take checks from companies that I have heard of; like JM.

We have also been ripped off by this company (listed as "SAP LLC" on the bounced certified check) in November - the head guy goes by the name of John Shaft (phone number 347-724-1469, e-mail JohnShaft@SexAlotNyc.Com, address 231-05 Northern Blvd, Bayside, NY 11374). We filed a small claims application with the Queens County Civil Court (their address is 89-17 Sutphin Blvd, Jamaica NY 10310, 718-262-7123) and are waiting for a court date. Anyone else who's been ripped off can file a claim by printing out the small claims form listed at http://www.courts.state.ny.us/courts/nyc/smallclaims/addresses.shtml and mail it in. Last time I checked bouncing certified checks was a serious crime. If anyone else who's been ripped off by these jerks wants to consider pursuing a group action against them, we'd be happy to contribute in any way we can. Happy New Year, Nady & George.

I am going to do that along with taking him to court. I have a court date for this in Febuary. I think the rest of the girls should take him to court to. His business might close down if more people took him to court. He deserves it.
