How old was the conviction? "Sex Offender" is something that stays with you to the grave - no parole - and this incident could be from 20 years ago.




As the Arab's post demonstrated, the offense code in question clearly does indicate a sex act performed by force and without consent. Most definitions of the word "rape" encompass any forced sex act, rather than being strictly limited to sexual intercourse, so I think it's fair to call it rape. A specific legal offence entitled "rape" may have a more limited definition of course.

I wasn't commenting on the merits of Megan's Law or stating an opinion one way or the other about Skeeter anyway. I was merely commenting on the fact that the other thread dissappeared. I can understand why that thread was canned, because it contained unsupportable allegations that his victim was a child. This thread contains nothing that isn't fair comment based on the facts at hand.
