Ed was actually the inspiration for a lot of things...including Psycho. A lot of people aren't aware that there was never any real life Leatherface (tis a shame!) and that Tobe Hooper got the chainsaw idea while in a long frustrating line in Wards (if memory serves correct). Ed never made it to Travis County....or Austin....who knows what may have happened.
