Possibly. But any cash economy has loads of parasites--not even necessarily L* C*sa N*stra--clinging to the the underside. They used to call it "street tax." If you made money illegally, didn't matter if you had any help or not, someone else wanted a cut. It was a license to do business illegally, essentially.

About four years ago, a bunch of Chicago's finest whores that advertise on the boards were pinched. It was a pretty big sweep. But I later learned that Vice in their round-up didn't pick up a single girl who was paying a street tax.
