Nah, dont sell the self-righteous / self-flagellating Student body / Faculty short. They love to rally around causes like this, take potshots at their own and build Manure Piles out of small turds. Then, when they get out into the real world, its a different story.
When I was there (88-92) anti-apartheid / South Africa was the cause-du jour....it became frowned upon by many students to drink Coca Cola because Harvard Endowment owned a lot of stock in Coca Cola, and COKE had MAJOR investments / infrastructure in CAPE TOWN and all over the Trans-vaal.....what the fuck.....Harvard later dumped the Stock when the stock nose-dived after "NEW COKE" Flopped, showing how oh-so effective the student protests were...of course, the mock shanty-towns in the Yard were great places to have semi-public sex.
