Porn people do mainstream gigs all the time. The girl who has sex with the murderer and gets killed in the first ten minutes was probably recruited out of World Modeling.

It's tough to convince a girl who just graduated from Juilliard's acting school to show her tits and pretend to have sex. A porn performer, on the other hand, shows her tits and REALLY has sex on camera on a regular basis, so she is PRACTICING her craft, not compromising it like the Juilliard graduate who was taking seminars on proper dialect usage from Meryl Streep six months ago.

Porn's main allure is that it is taboo, forbidden, naughty. IT is NOT mainstream, and anybody who thinks it is -- or that a crossover is imminent -- is kidding himself. Or herself.
