For PP2's decision to promote abstinence rather than common sense, amd the use of contraceptive devices. For his ultra-conservative leanings of hate when it came to gays, and for his inability to take a stand for women as Priest's, thus making them in essence second class citizens, I think this Pope was a piece of shit.

I sympathize with him for losing his family so young, but everything outside of that -- the power he wielded, and all the true good that he could have prospered in but didn't. Instead he chose to stick to the conservative primitive tradition and rituals of Catholisim. Attendance dropped and less people showed up to be Priests, and it was his fault. If you're gonna sell bullshit, you better update it from time to time. Throw another coat of paint on it at least.




By the way, I was raised Catholic, so of course, I don't believe in any of it. I think religion stifles creativity and free thought, and I think it's all bullshit used by the few to control the many.
