Why do pornstars go under contract anyways? Wouldn't they make a lot more money not being under a contract?
you do make a lot more money not being under contract, but the thought is long term that the company will promote you and take out huge adds and you get a steady paycheck every week with no worries. The thought is also for directing gigs sometimes. If you just wanna get in make a fuckload of money and get out a contract is definatly not the way to go. If you want to feature afterwards or really build a name than it may be the right move.
