The point of flaking is, without a call immediately it's a flake. If her Grandmother died or she's still tripping on Mushrooms, or she's having one of those introspective nightmares and doesn't want to talk to the director, fine. Call your agent, cry to them and have them call the director or producer.

Hearing the other side of the story, unless it is a natural disaster, will still make the person a flake.
