Msot people who aren't true lovers nor followers of porn per se are also amongst the first ones to blame the lack of story and acting in modern porn, not realising the industry's gone GONZO since the 90s.

Back in the 70s and 80s, fans cried out "less acting, more action", and by the late 80s early 90s, Rex Borski created Rosebud and help begin (along with others like Buttman for example) the shape of modern GONZO.

Anyway;

A friend of mine who isn't into porno as much as most, said that what he missed the most in porn was somekind of dumb story line. Basically he said he missed those lousy cheesy set-ups from the 80s flicks, and wish someone would indeed incorporate this type of element back into the gonzo productions of today.

Now I'm not saying I support this plot-oriented porn idea of yesteryear, but aside from a few odd improv moments from brilliant performers and directors, most of the porn today is about introducing the girl, getting her naked, and then sticking her with anything hard enough at hand.

So my suggestion is to approach big fluff companies like Vivid for example to try their luck at crafting a story/acting/costumes/setting oriented porn project, similarly to the incredibly successful "PIRATES" line from Digital Playground.

The possibilities are always there, it is the energy and enthousiasm (or LACK OF) from the fans and the target audience which prompts the success of such an idea.

To be honest, when I first saw those early gonzo tryouts from Rosebud, I was instantly hooked on the all-sex no-plot idea. To me, back in the 80s, it seemed like I spent too much time fast fowarding through awful acting and bad camera/lighting rather than actually watching the sex in question.

But to each their own...
