Yeah I have watched both now. What's your take on it cleetus? I think Glenn close has been a real good character addition, albeit I had reservations about it at first. But I am up in the air about the first two shows. Seems like it is moving real slow...

I agree with you on your points- Glenn Close has been better than i thought she would be and the show does seem slower this season but that might be because I prefer the Strike Team to be back together again. I mean what is this crap with only showing my boy Shane in little bits and pieces. I did like shane's new team ( he and his partner) name: The Hick and the Spic, you cannot get any more politically incorrect than ole' Shane.

I know. Shane is obviously trying to be Vick. I thought the same thing let him carry a little of the episode on his own. Oh yeah, How about Acevado. Fucking dick, beating it to rape video's. Now the more I look back they have set his character up from the beginning as a politician type-snake-lobbying dick.

Looks like Shane is finally going to get what he deserves: a beat down and hopefully a bullet in the head. I think Glenn Close as the chief unleashing Vic is cool, but she'll prolly turn into a stone cold cunt eventually.

My man Shane, will win out in the end after all HE is Cleetus VanDamme  I wonder if Glenn Close will stick around after this season- my guess is no, those seizures of drug dealer property will be her downfall and the higher ups will put one of vics cronies from the old chief in as the new captain next season, and the team will be reunited in the barn (at least that is my theory).

Either Shane will get his revenge or Vic will cut bait and put a bullet in his head. I hope it is the former, I like the Shane's new partner too, they better not kill him off. Acevedo shenanigans will be his undoing- I bet vic finds out and uses it against him. Kyoto rocks even more because he is a shield fan  Also, another good show as long as you don't mind westerns is HBO's Deadwood. Freaking hilarious and great acting by Ian McShane as al swearingen

Damn, it is beginning to look bad for Shane, I think he might be gone after this season. If so I hope the keep the Mexican to take his place on the Strike Team, I like that guy. If Shane goes I hope someone shoots his wife as a storyline just because I dislike that bitch.( they could make it look like a domestic squabble gone wrong).

I just skip the entire thread because I have just finished Season 2 on DVD. Of course my local Blockbuster (BFVS - Big Fucking Video Store) doesn't have season 3 in stock...

You should seek out season 3 it was very good, maybe Hollywood video or another joint would have it. I liked 1 and 2 better but 3 was good too. 4 is somewhat worse in my opinion because as I stated above i like Vic as a "bad" guy or a more grey character than the errand boy for glenn close he is this season. But that may be just me.

Actually, him giving that name to the armenians was a mistake on his part that Vic got pissed at him for, he had used it as an undercover alias as a cop in season 1 I think it was and then the dumb ass goes and gives that name to the people they were robbing( the armenians).

So, for someone like me, who has never seen a single episode of this show, you would recommend my renting and watching it? That is rhetorical, unless the answer is no. I like to wait until 24 is released on DVD each season, because I can't stand a cliffhanger every single goddamn week. That way I can just watch the next episode immediately. Even when I had cable I didn't watch it because I knew the cliffhanger would just raise my blood pressure.

I like the show but wouldn't buy the dvds. just wait for FX to do a marathon of all the seasons. they do it once in a while.
btw, I wish they would focus on Shane more. his story arc is the best part of the new season.

Yes, Toe rent the earlier seasons if you can't wait for the shield marathons on FX. They are really good. That said, this season I like 24 and Deadwood better than the shield. although as Evil Klown said it is really starting to heat up now. Plus as Kyoto said they are now starting to focus on Shane in these last few and next episodes. I just hope it isn't too late and he isn't dead after the next few eps. I now think he will confess his troubles with Antwan to Vic and they will figure out a solution (namely getting the body back and killing Antwan, of course Vic may kill Shane just to cover all his bases, but this looks a little less likely in my head).

Yeah that was a good ending because he was smoldering as he walked I just hope he doesn't take it out on Shane. The show has been better these last three eps. I still hope it is Lem, that beats antwan but it will probably be Vic and Shane who team up alone after Shane finally confides in Vic. Hopefully next week.

I liked the final episode of the season last night, it tied up loose ends and even gave us some idea of the things to go on next season- ie vic and crew in trouble with IA and to use even more foreshadowing the creators show us the whole team coming together again in the bar , having fun mending fences and who walks into the bar like a wet towel but the IA detective looking to hang Vic and crew. I wish Glenn Close would have given Vic a better tip off and spelled it out that IA is on his ass and that the whore with the kid is helping IA in their case. I still wonder when the cell phone Acevado dicksucking pic will show up?

However, you forgot to mention the "I got fucked going to the drive-thru" look on Antwan's face after the Capt read him the conspiracy to commit murder charges
