PXP DVDs were never as bad as EA: I don't recall seeing a consistent pattern of failures, whereas is was so bad with EA I gave up on their DVDs.
(this was a while back, for the first year EA was doing DVDs).

The whole thing cuts right to the heart of the matter: why does a porn forum exist? Why does anyone bother reading it? What's the point?
Jewel has made some annoying posts, and there's more than a little Brandon-esque shilling of her product. But the hard fact is that she is more of a player in porn than a thousand (polite) fanboys can ever be, and you'll learn more about the Real Porn World from the worst of her half-assed rants than you will from a thousand tightly-reasoned, carefully written fanboy posts. There is substitute for being there and doing it.

i resented her for getting away with being mean-spirited, now that she's taken an icarian nosedive from the "in" crowd(can there really be social stratae amongst weenies?) i'm no longer bitter. she can talk shit and maybe even use the cage to put poxes/hexes on people. i'm shocked adt forgot that they can't replace someone of that fame that actually posts, and does so honestly. kami and jewel were their most famous non-shills with a post count spanning longer than a few grams of tweak. chico's an internet guy and a decaying, irrelevant company, tricia's not interesting but has the class not to act like a stadium-vendor. jenna's there, but it's not cool, full-moon werewolf-jenna. that leaves dac and tonyc, and they're heinous and need to be punished for egotistical mediocrity by taking their superior cameras and then filming them as they're covered in napalm and doing something interesting in their final stumbling.
adt's got more posts to read thanks to being around since 99 and not scaring off stars but i don't like having to subscribe to some collective ethic that includes not saying funny or needed things for fear of killing the nitrous-high people live on there. there are cool people there, it's just tough to remind others that they're beneath me and this is their one shot at making me follow their rule. is it obvious i've checked it more in the After.Monkey. ers?oh yeah, jewel should post here.

Why do so many idiots over there think I'm trying to get banned? As if I couldn't just launch a scathing Kyoto-style attack on Steph and be banned in an instant if that was my objective? bono's by far the most selfish, trigger-happy and unpredictable mod. bill and hardware are just state-troopers enforcing a speed limit for the most part. you can figure out what's going to make them act pretty easily and to their credit they're consistent about it. bill's more likely to talk shit back than lock something that challenges or offends him and i've seen hardware call people out for trolling and let the thread live and only really persecutes simp. i think that's more cat-and-mouse now, he's the only mod who can recognize the disguised WHY? before the thread is 15 simp comments deep. that sucks he can do that.
denverdon's unpredictable, but doesn't make the same cowardly or blatantly self-interested moves like bono. i'll take heavy-handed consistency over inability to seperate duty and opinion. if you're going to be a goon for someone else, don't be a crooked one.

Banning people and pointlessly locking threads that are caustic is one thing. But to lock this particular thread (I know it was DenverDon who actually pulled the trigger) or to tell people to "take it to e-mail" is fuckin' ridiculous. These were legitimate inquires on an important topic. Dozens of performers that ADT seems to care so much about could have benefitted from learning about this whores disgusting escapade.
But no, you lock it. Granted Ariana wasn't participating anymore, but people could have discussed the matter further and possibly gathered more info if other industry people were willing to chime in with their opinions.
So I ask you, why take her side? Are you so tragic that you felt the need to defend this whores honor? Or if you showed her your Superman colors your pathetic crush on this skank might have finally come to fruition? Or were you just afraid you wouldn't get your pity hug in Vegas if your didn't?
Or perhaps it's something deeper? Maybe Steph and Drew wanted the topic locked because Devils Films advertises on ADT?

threads like that are nightmares for adt-you know the mods aren't a unified front on every decision and sometimes learn about it after shit's started. the rest of the board grinds to a halt after the regulars rush to it and then there's the problem of justifying the censorship and exclusionary actions which steph and drew have never had a good answer for and solve by locking things down and making some comment about maturity or how "this isn't going anywhere".
in this case, i'm suprised it made it past a page---steph castrated the mods and most of them had to sit there and defend something they didn't do under a seige of valid complaints. the outcome was decided from the top and it was just going to attract more and more attention towards the fact that they fucked up and killed the platinum goose in driving away one of their big-name industry regulars. mason's less-regular, kami and mellissa are accepted more places that mastercard, tom byron's gone, kimi lixx is retired and never had name-recognition----it's lean times for their industry-insider quota which is obvious when they're throwing up stars that have as many posts as the average simp-account makes before it's banned.

I was 99.9% certain when I checked ADT today that Ivor would be banned. I was shocked to see it had gone as far as it did.
The irony surrounding the whole thread and it's possible aftermath is hilarious. A complete 180 has most likely occurred. Ivor, and now anyone associated with XXXPT, would probably have to call Steph a cunt just to get banned.
This black cloud will loom for a long time. I hope the mods will have to ban and lock with great trepidation. People like Simp (and the the kind of threads he starts) probably won't be sent to the guillotine so quickly.

Why did I take her side, because she's a friend and I really don't owe you any more of an explanation than that. Anyone could have started a new thread and as long as it didn't boil down to people just throwing out wild speculations or just being downright rude about Ariana if her name was used or any performer for that matter then it should have been allowed. You want to have wild nasty debates about whatever topic you choose regardless of personal feelings ADT isn't your forum and thank goodness for that. They want some restraint shown and some class from all posters be it industry or regular people. Most people who have posted there respect that and if you cant' then there really isn't much point of me trying to explain anything as you would be predisposed to not agreeing with it.

For those who haven't noticed, Jenna hasn't let up this: she'll still poking at ADT over banning Jewel and moderation policies in general in the Alexa Rae and Max Hardcore thread. I'm impressed. I'm wondering how long Jenna lasts. ADT has made clear they don't see any need for industry people - they're free to drop by, but ADT is happy with a forum of fanboys if it happens that way. I got one (1) message in support of my claim that it would be a bad thing for any porn board. If Jenna keeps bringing up the Jewel ban in unrelated threads I wonder if they'll ban her.
