There are two things about going to porn shows that some fanboys seem to forget.

1. She doesn't want to see you nearly as much as you want to see her.

Some of the girls really do like to meet fans, but that is not the same as wanting to meet you. A conversation you have with her will not be the high point of her day. If you want to tell her how hot she is or how much you liked a video, an e-mail is a lot cheaper than air fare and a hotel room for a show. And it saves her the trouble of telling you your 60 seconds are up and there's a line behind you.

2. The girl you jerk off to on video doesn't exist.

Some of these girls may be just as hot in person as they are in the videos, but they are not that person. It's a role they play and they are acting, performing more-or-less to a director's instructions, etc. If you fall in love with Hot Candy Stick Lynn in the video FartBomb Explosions #37, you can't meet her at a show. At best you might meet a hot performer who happened to play the part in the video. And at worst you might meet a stoned ice princess showing off her new tattoos & inflatable boobs.

Were it practical for me to go to a show I'd probably check to see who was there and make an effort to go & meet some people I've corresponded with over the last year. But I'm not going to fork over plane fare and more without a pretty good reason, and that does not include going to see someone I first discovered the day before in a hot video.
