Yep, John only used a single bass pedal. Remarkable, isn't it? His playing seems to break all laws of physics. Moon used a double. Speaking of physics, here's an interesting Moon fact in case you haven't heard it. He was so fast with his sticks that when they slowed down some tracks in the studio from the Quadrophenia sessions, what people by ear thought was one hit was actually two. When further investigated, they found out his drumming was faster than a machine gun firing (I know dick about guns, but I'm referring to the kind of guns that fire insanely fast rounds back to back).
