From Lukeford:
DAY 2: AIM WON'T CALL AND TALENT STARTS PANICKING
Concerned Male Talent Writes In: Anyway, so who is the bitch with gonorrhea? I just want to make sure I don't work with them anytime soon. I always call AIM before a scene and verify the chicks test for myself, but AIM has been flaky as of late. Kinda scares me, and then I read that on your site. I have had three girls I almost worked with find out they had a STD by me calling AIM and verifying their "clean" tests. That's fucked up! If AIM can mess up a test result for a syphilis/gonorrhea/chlamydia check...how hard would it be to mess up a HIV screen? We're talking about peoples lives here, not just losing out on a weeks worth of rent.
So who is this chick? I don't want my dick dripping this weekend.
Fayner Says: Dude, I would so love to tell you that I was woken up by a phone call from AIM apologizing for not getting back to me in time and asking for the name of the girl so you as talent could rest easy. But I can't. Instead I woke up to a bong hit.
It don't make no sense at all. It's the whole point of their business, a non-profit business, to make sure sex workers are safe. Hell, that's pretty much their slogan, ain't it?
Health for the sex worker in mind, body, emotion and spirit!
If only it were true.I do believe AIM cares about the health of porno folk, but I now have to wonder to what extent. When someone informs them of a possible outbreak, they should be on that shit like Ron Jeremy to a sandwich. It's that simple.
And assuming AIM has a clientele of somewhere around 500 per month, can't they use that $50,000 to create a plan to tackle a credible source's information with speed?
At least hire another worker to man the phones.
And another thing: Is it so hard designing a test that cannot be tampered with? Something like red ink on the date, or a stamp over the date would do the trick. Or not. I'm not the one dedicating my life to keeping the fuck biz healthy. Quite the opposite, actually.
AIM is a non-profit organization designed to fulfill the needs of the industry. If there is a specific service you would like us to provide, please let us know and we will do the best we can to make it happen.
Uh, yeah, thanks for asking. Could you call me back for starters and ask me who I heard has an STD without being aware of it?
And if you think, like a porn gal I spoke to today, that performers have to go through AIM for their tests, you're wrong. It's just made to seem that way.
Fight The Power!!
