i'm not what you would call a raincoater or even a huge porn fan-i found this place and adt in april during the hiv deal, along with luke's site. so i'm a scandal/degeneracy/gossip whore more than anything-i like porn but easily get more entertainment over the "did tori welles kill a hooker with a knife?" headlines that are so lacking in the economist these days.so i'm also grateful to jenna and the explosion in the late 90's that she was so pivotal in. it brought more internet-literacy and it wasn't just parolees and street-whores anymore. the characters were more complex and relatable--but still usually damaged enough to be wildly entertaining.

look at it like the developing american west--at one point it was all indians. nobody understands them and what they do isn't that exciting save for the scalping stuff. that transitionary period of conquest by people never arrested twice and often with some secondary-education made things more interesting
it's a good frontier outpost these days, full of chaos, saloons, gambling, violence and sleaze. it's the ones who didn't quite fit in back in the puritanical east, but they merit more attention than the savages they replaced. life is good for someone like myself.

of course to play devil's advocate, a lot of people-perhaps ivor included can thank jenna for being partially responsible for creating the job they currently hold.

for the raincoaters, that nailed it. she's the "gateway drug" for the industry. a few puffs at 13 spiral into a constant search for 25-gauge needles half-a decade and a few gag factors later.
