Hey Jenna,
Thanks for taking the time to communicate with your fans on this forum...What ever happened to the Adult Industry Assistance Fund? If its not improper to ask, how much did you raise, are you still holding fundraisers, and where has the money gone? It seems to me the industry as a whole really doesnt care much about the health of the performers other than monthly testing, which the talent have to pay for themselves, Seems to me that a multi billion dollar industry would do something for their workers but the porn INDUSTRY does next to nothing. Thats really sad considering how so many people are now saying how mainstream porn is and how these are corperations being run like any other fortune 500 companies. I mean, a dog being used in a hollywood movie has more protection than an adult performer, and the dogs owner is probably paid more for the use of the dog for one day than a porn performer is paid for a days work.

My fund took in a fair amount of money, and we helped the performers that were directly effected by the HIV crisis.
The problem was, we started getting out of work porn stars calling incessantly begging us to pay there rent.
Slowly but surely, the donations stopped, and the calls ceased.
In this industry, it seems it's "out of sight, out of mind"
I know for certain the money we raised went to a good cause...hopefully it helped out a little..
It was a large undertaking, and was rough to go it alone...

Just an idea here: I would bet that if you went on howard stern, and held a 'raffle' to spend a day on the set of the next jenna jameson movie that you could raise many thousands of dollars to pay for talent testing at AIM. At ten or twenty dollars per entry I bet thowsand and thousands of Howard and jenna fans would participate.

No, just someone who hopes that the little relief fund started by Jenna wasn't started to alleviate her own poverty. We have seen countless such relief drives, 95% of which ends up in the pockets of the organisers of the fund

Hey Jenna, I never would have started this thread if i'd known that this is the type of response it would generate. Thank-you for being the only one who actually DID SOMETHING during the unfortunate events of last spring. And rest assured jenna, that anyone with even an ounce of brains doesnt believe you pocketed the money. Thank-you and congradulations on your awards this year. You're the number one celebrity in this buissness and it was refreshing to see someone in this buissness use their celebrity for a good cause.
There were also several performers who helped raise money at some of the fundraiseres. Thank-you to those people also.

I was just reading about Tera Patrick and her lost dog. I'm very happy for tera that she got her puppy back. But does anyone else see the irony of how so much publicity and industry support for Tera's lost dog there was but so little industry support for those who conr=tracted HIV last year. I'm not saying that helping Tera get her dog back was a bad thing, on the contrary, it was rather heartwarming to see this industry do something nice for one of its performers. But there are REAL issues that these people need to address. More money was raised for Teras dog than the four unfortunate individuals who got HIV> How sad is that?

whats even worse is people tried to ab use the program. People without HIV/AIDS that were just short on their rent tried to get money from the fund.
