Much of the time the TX tar is cut with lactose in a coffee grinder so it kind of dries into a brownish powder, but mostly it's just black gunk.

Now, when I lived in Chicago. that was the white goodness, home for my soul.

But, for the record, there is nothing wrong with some decent obsidian. Good dope is good dope. I've had some horrid white powder that was mostly cut, and the same with tar. But, I've had some powder that I swear was straight fentanyl, and some tar that Bill Burroughs himself would come out of cryostasis for.
