That's the best case scenario.

On the other hand he may continue to worship her, until at some point something tips the scales in his head. There's no telling when or what it will take. It could be as trivial as seeing her wearing a different watch, or something she says or does in public. Perhaps it won't happen until he has been locked up several times for violating the restaining order she will inevitably have to get after he follows her to the mall for the dozenth time.

When it does happen, he will flip between emotional extremes like only the mentally ill can. As he realises that she does not fit the blissful fantasy he created, he will suddenly despise this usurper who has stolen "his" Teagan from him, hating her with a passion equal to his previous adoration. In his mind, she will have taken everything from him, his wife, his children, his happy ever after.
