In March of 2002, I had a 28 yr old secretary who showed up for work one day with a Mega-shiner and her arm in a sling. Before I sent her home I asked what happened: She said her Husband beat her up, he drinks, and it had happened before but not like this blah blah blah. She then got a restraining order, followed by a legal separation. Out of sympathy, I took it easy on her for 4 months and let her basically do nothing and get paid. Finally, One friday, she prances into my office and tells me she is quitting. I express concerned shock over her welfare, she said "no problem, dont worry I have found a really great opportunity." I said "Oh...." still in shock and kinda pissed cuz I had just paid her for the privilege of inhaling her nail polish fumes for 4 months ....

I find out 3 weeks later she is dancing in San Jose at the "Pink Poodle"......wtf.

She later moved to Seattle after her career took off.
