monkey is the chosen one-or he is if you're into funny stuff. the guy's legit in terms of hilarity and he's consistent and creative but the cage ain't devoid of others who can come up with some great stuff. sure, sure, the spectre of cruelty rarely leaves the cage for long--but the funniest ideas are almost never kind. many people think monty python;s stuff was amongst the better comedy ever made and most of it was dehumanizing, gory, cruel and filled with stereotypes. the adult industry is generally comprised of some laughably stupid and/or classless and amoral people and it's a goldmine if you've got a sense of humor. i don't read newsweek or midbrow novels, so headlines like "did tori welles kill a hooker with a knife" are a welcome departure from stuff that's unintelligible to most people. what do you think about jewel denyle? should someone petty, simple-minded and rumored to be running a mob-funded business be protected from ridicule or unpleasant comments by means of moderator actions? i don't think so. should someone who wastes such an enormous amount of people's time and derails countless threads like ac-cream not face corrective-measures by his peers? nope, somehow he slipped through childhood without developing any kind of sensitivity towards how others would like him to act or he's woefully deficient in social and emotional intelligences. i'm pretty sure out of the small user-base of the cage you could find 5 people who at least as intelligent as adt's top-5 culled from their regulars. there's a greater degree of polarization here with most people being smart enough to realize the other half has endless comedic possibilities by virtue of their being very crazy or stupid.
there are plenty of adt users who i enjoy reading and if you look in tech talk, i've made an effort to help people with simple problems and been successful plenty so i'm as useful as most. what i think is lame apart from locking things before there's actually anything offensive and shielding the ac-cream's from reality at the cost of the forum's readability and content are the sacred cows, the ugly IR pressure from about 5 people and "we're so open and progressive and we'll tolerate anything except stuff like vincevega because he's mean". i don't even bother discussing things, the level of politcal and philosophical conviction by most falls far short of their knowledge and ability. other than those things which drive me fucking nuts, i've got no problem with it being run as a business and avoiding an uninviting atmosphere. people should just stop being such bleeding vaginas and realize they're discussing something sleazy and embrace it sometimes. if you were a kid, and weren't a social mutant talking shit with your friends wasn't anything to get worked up about and was good for some laughs. singling out the saved by the bell "screech" of any group can be uneventful and painless, but here there's been a constant stream of ones lacking self-awareness and once hooked they'll fight spectacuarly thrashing against a force they don't understand on the other end of the clear monofilament. it's life, it's hilarious, it's better that sitting on your hands and speaking like a butler.
3-the cage was taken away briefly over a weekend and returned once everyone had time to sort out an incident and consider liability. the sycophants you referred to were split on whether the monkey was too personal and plenty of them were the opposite of sycophants.

I got ten bucks that says ADTapologist is Bill, the mod from ADT. Since james mentioned Bill in his post, I think he's leaning that way too.
There are but a few over at ADT that can craft a cohesive sentence with proper punctuation, and Bill is one of them. He has no particular writing style, like say a skronker, or cobalt60, which, ironically, creates a style all his own. We can all be sure that this isn't BonoOne because there is no "lol", "heehee" or "Arianna Jolie" mentioned anywhere in his posts.
I've got no problem with Bill, if this is indeed him. He seems like one of the more reasonable mods over there. Just seems odd that he would come here and not cop to who he really is.

Look. I Like both boards, I like this one better but I also like ADT for some of the posters there and because there tends to be a little more interest in mainstream movies and other things that interest me outside porn.
That said it did bother me recently (ie election time when Steph would actually tell people to stop writing about certain political views- the wording was something like stop regurgitating fox news broadcasts or get your facts straight- whereas I never saw her do that for some of the more left winged members over there. So I took a break from that board until I got over it- it is her business how she wants to do things and if she doesn't want to allow for some of the purest forms of freedom of speech ( minority political thought) over there OK for her thats her business and I try to avoid the political threads now ( except of course those that arer anti saracen in nature). Jeff however has never agreed with my republican stance on voting but he has never tried to keep people from posting their views. Therefore this board wins in my view.
Second- lately there have been a lot of odd moderations going on over there. Closing threads for going off topic, closing threads because things MIGHT go down a "bad " path about the porn stars. Closing the nonsense thread to save bandwidth or for whatever reason that was done.
Third people here seem to be able to take a joke and are far less politically correct than many over there. Not all by far are sticks in the mud at adt but there are quite a few.
Many of the people who post here have been banned over there for some stupid reasons and are rightfully pissed off so I can see them hating adt- but most of the adt posters claim to hate this place and ignore it. But why come here just to stir stuff up- if the roles were reversed you might be banned over here just like Bornyo was there. Or Simp. The fact that you are allowed to complain about this board here is a positive that wouldn't fly over there I bet.
Ps - Why does everyone hate Jewel, I like her . She speaks her mind whether or not she is wrong on the issues or not. It leads to some interesting discussions anyway.

there's a difference between having an established, consistent representation of who you are and a new account.. i can sympathize with a few reasons for needing to hide but it's hard not to still feel it's irratating, decietful and kinda cowardly at some level.
as to whether it's anonymous--it's not when you ascribe value to the indentity you've forged. if there wasn't some real personal involvement in your other screename and the internet was truly anonymous and apersonal then why do you need to protect your supposedly anonymous account's reputation? i thought i suggested some reasonable ways to let others identify roughly who you were. it's not like it's hard for those who can see your ip addy to nail who it is based on region, so nobody's that much of a ghost unless they make it look like they live in poland.

I saw that too. The money is for the reward fund. "In the unfortunate event the dog isn't found the money will be donated to the local humane society". Sounds good but I bet they never see a penny.
