http://www.dfw.com/mld/startelegram/living/5437451.htm Check out this article. I guess basically that every piece of equipment in the process, before the nice new TVs would have to be replaced. Even the best DVD players don't play high def DVDs yet (i think there are some very expensive players, like the article alludes to) that are able to do it, but there are competing standards.
It will come, but it is a still a few years away.
