We should not enter a conflict unless we are prepared to win by any means necessary. If I was in charge I would use maximum force to accomplish a goal with the least casualities to our troops. Much more b-52 strikes and less targeted bombing to start with and I have said it before in a conflict like Iraq we should not act like we are fighting humans (as they have shown no behavior that would lead me to believe they are human) and we should form death squads from the Iraqi population to combat the insurgents, terrorists and supporters by using similar tactics. We will find it difficult to win conflicts in the nmodern age when we use rules that our enemy has no intention of upholding.
