I understand your theory, but I don't really agree with it. Just because they are ranked high (and Alexa has always been a questionable tool) doesn't mean they are making money. A site can get millions of hits and make little or no money. Remember, they do not sell product and they offer no memberships. They only sell banner space and recieve % cuts from surfers that use their search engine. Now, I'm sure they make at least a living, but to assume it's in the millions is a bit too much.
