Jules Jordan Video Files Lawsuit Against AdultBouncer.com

VAN NUYS, Calif. - Jules Jordan Video, Inc. has a filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court against AdultBouncer.com, an adult access verification service, alleging copyright infringement and other violations.

Jordan said numerous affiliates of the Toronto-based company contained unlicensed picture galleries and downloadable movie clips. The lawsuit also is seeking relief and damages for "vicarious liability and contributory infringement, violation of unfair business practices, false and misleading advertising, violation of right of publicity and tortious interference with prospective economic advantage."

William J. Genereux, legal counsel for AdultBouncer.com, on Monday responded to the allegations.

"The Jules Jordan complaint against AdultBouncer is utterly devoid of merit and seems to be on the cutting edge of legal misadventure," he said. "None of these allegations have been proved. AdultBouncer looks forward to showing at the trial of the action, that it has operated fully in compliance with all applicable laws."

Jordan told AVN.com Monday that this action is just the beginning.

"We have multiple lawsuits coming down on numerous Websites stealing Jules Jordan content," he said. "Adult video company owners should realize that because of the great quality of DVD movies, pirates' jobs are a lot easier on the Internet, ripping straight from DVDs and onto the net. I have been researching this for about a year now, and it's time for them to face the music."

Adultbouncer.com was accused of infringing on the copyrights of JM Productions in October.
