James, it's been years since I listened to rock (except for 70s punk), and probably the last I ever did was GNR, so that's probably true. It's funny to pull out the Use Your Illusion albums and laugh at how fucking pretentious they are now. Every song either turns into an Elton Johnish ballad or ends with Axl doing that suck in "Yow!" If only we had listened more carefully we could have seen his impending transformation into a hermetic crystal-groover.
