vics and percs are about the strongest you'll get outpatient if you're not dying of something terminal. i'm not sure what you're talking about, there's a huge gap between them and advil. if you're going to use them recreationally, just filter the bad shit out and you've got relatively pure oxycodone/hydrocodone depending on whether they gave you percs or vics.
