from what i understand somebody basically paid her to be a mule and it was pot. it's not like she was sticking metal pods on the hulls of polish tankers or taking low-altitude nightflights from hidden airstrips nor is 100lbs of pot 100lbs of south american heroin. fucking stupid=yeah. but what 18 year old isn't stupid or invincible? i'd say katie's no angel, but that was more a "pothead teenager with bad friends" move than a "tasteless, calculating lie exploiting public symptathies" thing. it's about intent and thinking people are stupid.
