a smart attorney would need to see a pretty well-defined pattern to take on a client that is often totally irresponsible, itinerant, has a hooking past, and can be easily intimidated by common thugs let alone organized crime. character assassination is effortless with most of them, and many women jurors will hate them from the start. if it was a clearcut criminal matter, people would convict out of sympathy. in this economy, juries scraping to get by themselves aren't going to give millions to some girl successfully presented to them as a junkie, hooker, and slut. that doesn't even begin to factor in the fact you're not going to eliminate strongly religious jurors who won't be friendly to your client's line of work.

chances are she can't pay much up front, good lawyers need to know their client can win to waste hours that they could be billing. it remains to be seen if anyone can get money this way with regularity.
