TORONTO -- A former Toronto and Halton region teacher now faces a total of 10 child pornography charges.

Toronto police say their investigation since the man was first arrested in May has turned up four more allegations.

Fifty-three-year-old Leslie Hoogland is charged with two new counts of making child pornography, one of possession and one of frequenting a juvenile prostitute.

He was already facing six charges, including making child pornography and soliciting sex from a person under 18.

Police say they identified a victim from photos and conducted interviews.

They allege Hoogland took sexually explicit photographs of victims under the age of 18.

Hoogland worked at West Toronto Collegiate Institute and also taught for the Halton District School Board from the 1970's until he retired in 2001.

He appears in court Thursday.
