I agree. When the enemy you are fighting is motivated by religious fanaticism that places their cause above all human life, proven by a track record of suicide bombings, a "take no prisoners" approach is completely justified.

Maybe the marines should have asked this journalist if he wanted to be the one to go up to the guy and check him for concealed weapons and/or explosives? I think his attitude might have been different then.
